Who We Are

MahaDBT-Farmer.com is an independent, non-governmental informational platform dedicated to helping Maharashtra farmers understand, navigate, and successfully use the Maharashtra Government’s MahaDBT Farmer Portal (mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in).

We are not a government website. We are not affiliated with the Maharashtra Agriculture Department. We are a team of researchers and digital helpers who saw real farmers struggling with real problems — and decided to do something about it.

Why We Built This Platform

Every day, thousands of farmers across Maharashtra try to access government schemes they genuinely deserve — tractor subsidies, irrigation support, seed grants, organic farming assistance — and they fail. Not because they are ineligible, but because the process is confusing.

We researched farmer complaints across YouTube (where upload error videos get 29,000+ views), Reddit agriculture threads, Quora questions, and Facebook groups. The same problems appeared again and again:

“Invalid File Upload Error” — farmers uploading PDFs when the portal only accepts JPEG
Aadhaar-Bank Linkage Failure — over 10,322 farmers were stuck with ₹13 crore in pending claims simply because their bank account was not linked to Aadhaar
Payment Pending for Months — 96,811 farmers could not receive money due to bank and Aadhaar issues
No Response to Grievances — farmers receiving repeated “funds will be released” replies with no action
Applying Again and Again — farmers forced to re-upload the same documents for every single scheme
2025–26 System Changes — Maharashtra shifted to a “First Come, First Served” method, confusing thousands who did not know the rules had changed

These are not small issues. These are barriers that separate farmers from money they have already been approved for. We built this platform to remove those barriers.

What We Do

We provide free, clear, practical information so farmers (and their families, CSC operators, and helpers) can:

✅ Fix common errors like file upload failures and OTP issues

✅ Understand what application statuses like “Under Verification” or “Payment Pending” actually mean

✅ Learn how to link Aadhaar to a bank account to receive Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

✅ Raise and track grievances using the official Grievance ID system

✅ Stay updated on 2025–26 and 2026 scheme changes, budget updates, and new rules

What We Do NOT Do

A Note on Language

Maharashtra’s farmers speak Marathi. Many helpers, CSC workers, and family members who assist farmers speak Hindi. We write our guides in a mix of simple English, Hindi, and Hinglish — whichever makes the information easiest to understand. Clarity is more important to us than formality.
